When A Writer's Brain Dictates When & What You Write!
Embrace how screenwriting takes your brain on a different journey.
I’ve had some wonderful emails and DM’s wondering where I’ve been.
I love to be deep in research for my latest articles, where my focus is complete when it’s uploaded into the ether, and I can do something new the next day.
However, my immersion is immense in screenwriting, like I’ve moved into another world of characters and stories, and nothing else occurs until it’s finished.
I have to stay focused since each line is precise and organic at the same time.
I just completed Changing Leads, a 120-page Feature Drama. I had it in my arsenal of stories to complete, and now it’s born and released.
For many screenwriters, the beginning of a new year is a time when screenwriting competitions reign, and you polish your work until it’s shiny, then you hit SUBMIT.
It’s like releasing a fledgling bird into the world in hopes that it will land in kind and encouraging hands.
I have no idea who will come across it and deem it worthy of option for film. At this point, it’s out of my hands.
In the meantime, I will keep busy with other musings and creating!
Very helpful.
